adidas SPZL AW26 Collection Release Date, Official Images & Where to Buy

The adidas SPZL AW26 collection now has a confirmed release date. Gary Aspden, the man behind the adidas Spezial line, has announced that the forthcoming collection of SPZL apparel, footwear and accessories will launch on Friday 6 November 2026. It will be available from the adidas Confirmed app, select retailers and adidas Originals stores.

Before the drop, the adidas SPZL AW26 film will launch on Monday 2 November 2026 at 9am. This is when we expect the first full official look at the range. If you can't wait, our adidas SPZL AW26 leaked images page already shows 13 pieces that surfaced ahead of release.

The adidas SPZL AW26 release date is Friday 6 November 2026. Here’s how the build-up to the drop is shaping up:

1. 21 October 2026Images of the collection leak online, showing the Halewood SPZL, two Hawaii SPZL colourways, knitwear and tees. See the leaked images.
2. Late October 2026Gary Aspden announces the film and launch dates.
3. Monday 2 November 2026, 9amThe adidas SPZL AW26 film launches.
4. Friday 6 November 2026The collection launches on the adidas Confirmed app, at select retailers and adidas Originals stores.

What time does it drop? A launch time for 6 November hasn’t been announced yet. As a guide, the previous adidas SPZL SS26 collection went live at midnight UK time on its release day — but check the adidas Confirmed app and retailers, and we’ll add the AW26 time here as soon as it’s confirmed.

The adidas SPZL AW26 Film

The adidas SPZL AW26 film premieres on Monday 2 November 2026 at 9am. Gary Aspden thanked Nick Griffiths and the team at And/Son London for their continued work on the SPZL films.

Gary Aspden has confirmed three ways to buy the adidas SPZL AW26 collection on Friday 6 November 2026:

1. The adidas Confirmed app — adidas’s app for limited releases. Download it and set up your account before release day so you’re ready when the collection goes live.
2. Select retailers — specialist stockists that carry adidas Spezial. See our UK stockist list below.
3. adidas Originals stores — check with your nearest store for availability.

What Is adidas SPZL?

adidas SPZL (short for adidas Spezial) is the adidas Originals line curated by Gary Aspden. It grew out of adidas’s archive of terrace trainers — the shoes football casuals hunted down on European away days in the late 1970s and 1980s — and each season reworks that archive into new footwear, clothing and accessories.

A short history of adidas Spezial

• 2013 — the exhibition. Spezial began as an exhibition of rare adidas trainers and archive pieces at a gallery in Hoxton, London, curated by Gary Aspden.
• 2014 — the first range. The exhibition’s success led to adidas Originals x Spezial, a debut Autumn/Winter 2014 collection of archive-inspired footwear and apparel.
• The curator. Aspden, who grew up in Darwen, Lancashire, worked with adidas for years before the line launched and has always described himself as its curator rather than its designer.
• 2024 — ten years. The line marked its first decade with the SPZL DECADE event in Darwen, showing the complete SPZL footwear archive alongside a retrospective book.

adidas SPZL AW26 vs SPZL F.C. AW26

Don’t confuse the two. SPZL F.C. is a separate adidas Spezial football-heritage line, and its AW26 collection launched on 25 September 2026. The adidas SPZL AW26 collection launching on 6 November is the main adidas Spezial Autumn/Winter range.
